This past Mothers Day we did a tour of several waterfalls along the Oregon side of the Columbia River Gorge. In total we did three hikes back to back along I-84 between Portland and Hood River.

We did the Elk Flats Trail all the way to Short Sand Beach, with a pitstop at the Devil’s Cauldron on the way. After the hike we headed north to Cannon beach for a well deserved lunch and nap on the beach!
I had the pleasure of visiting the Wooden Shoe Tulip Festival at peak bloom last week. It was a beautiful, sunny Tuesday morning, and not many people were there. I took the opportunity to just walk along the rows taking in the nice weather too!
Last week I took a trip to the Portland Japanese Garden in hopes of finding some great Cherry Blossom blooms. Unfortunately I think I was a little early to the game for peak blossoming but the other flowers were just starting to bloom, too!
Our first hike of 2021 started off nice and easy with a two-mile out and back hike to see Wahclella Falls! We started out early in the morning, giving me these moody, cool-toned photos of the falls.
In late February, I went on a quick drive into Rocky Mountain National Park from the Grand Lake side. We drove as far in as we could with the snow closures and captured some great shots along the way!
Here are some of my favorite photos from my trip to Colorado in early October 2020! Many of the leaves had already fallen, but there were some beautiful colors near the river pit-stops along the road to the pass.
